HERBAL MOTH REPELLENT SACHETS FOR YOU TO MAKE

I hope you are doing well…and enjoying this lovely season…as much as I am. I always feel such a grounding and calming energy in the Autumn…and the colors…sights…smells…food…and “nesting in” of this season appeals to all my senses and my soul.

I know most of us…are wanting a more healthy and less stress… lives…and out of necessity…are returning to more resourceful and creative ways to live…which to me is a very positive and good thing.

Using our creativity…and our hands to make items for our households…as well as for gift giving…is a very pleasurable activity for you and your whole family…as well as inviting your friends over…to handcraft … enjoy refreshments…and spend quality time together one afternoon or evening…making something useful for your homes.

Being kind to the Earth…as well as being protective of your loved ones and pets…by not using chemicals and toxins is something we all need to care about…all it takes is baby steps and a willingness to try natural…chemical free products…including ones that you can easily and inexpensively make yourself.

My love of all things Autumn…includes warm sweaters…long sleeved tops and scarves…and fuzzy slippers. Now this means I need to make sure moths and other insects don’t have a feast in my closet…or drawers…taking nibbles out of my sweaters…so a moth repellent is a must!

But not standard store bought moth repellents for me…and hopefully not for you either.

How about making your own…a moth and insect repellent that you can feel good about for your family…pets…and the Earth…because the ones you will be making use herbs and essential oils that are chemical and toxic free.

RECIPE FOR HERBAL CLOSET AND DRAWER SACHETS

You can double or triple this recipe…for as many herbal moth repellent sachets you want to make

2 tablespoons dried organic Lavender
1 teaspoon each of dried organic Thyme…Mint…and Rosemary
½ teaspoon whole organic Cloves
5-7 drops each of Rosemary…Peppermint…Lavender…and Cedarwood essential oils
Bay leaves …enough to place 1 Bay leaf in each small draw string bag sachet you are making
Small draw string bags…found at most hobby shops

Place all ingredients in a glass bowl (except Bay leaves) …including the essential oils…and gently stir herbal mixture until well blended.

Fill your draw string bags almost to the top…with this herbal mixture…tucking in a Bay leaf at the end. Securely tie each bag…tie to hangers in your closet…tuck between shoes…and place in your drawers.

Enjoy making these…because I know you will…and be sure to make extra for gift giving!

Happy Autumn to you…

Love…Victoria
